Recent data of Indicated that only Macpherson estimates that , abortions every year continue to be performed in India solely because the fetus is female. Our cultural beliefs, illiteracy, domestic violence etc society are some after important factors for the deteriorating sex ration.

In the past women were worshiped as goddess. Women status was better than today. In the current time the status of women is not much better.
